Hi! Today I will be presenting another virtual bulletin board for the month of December. Comment below if you know of any other volunteer opportunities for our community.
On Friday, December 24th, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation will be hosting their third annual Jewish Community Volunteer Day, sponsored by Ford Motor Company. "Volunteers can participate in more than 12 different hands-on projects taking place throughout our community, including feeding the homeless, a blood drive, beautification projects, visiting with seniors, a children’s book drive and more." If you are interested in participating, please email Volunteer@JewishMiami.org or call 786.866.8414.
Hands On Miami is hosting a Holiday Matchmaker Program and Toy Drive. "The Holiday Matchmaker Program matches your company/club/organization/civic group with a specific classroom in our most undeserved communities. Many of these children will not have the opportunity to open their own new toy/gift during the holiday season and now you can make this happen!" Please click on the link for more information. http://www.handsonmiami.org/HomePage/index.php/docs/Holiday_Matchmaker_Program.pdf
On January 15th, 2011, Hands On Miami will also be hosting their 15th annual Martin Luther King Day of Service and continue to transform Miami Northwestern High School. More details will be posted on the Hands on Miami website soon.
The Community Partnership for Homeless is in need of pillows, towels, mattress covers, underwear for men, women and children, baby clothing and diapers. If you are able to donate, please click on the link for more information. http://www.cphi.org
Please become a follower of Clicks for Change to receive more updates on how we can make a difference in our communities.
Have a safe winter break and Happy Holidays!
Mia
